My So-Called Life - The Complete Series (w/ Book)

Ice Ice Ice Rain Ice Rain Snow Snow Ice SUN!

Nothing is more enjoyable than ice on trees. Things I have learned in the past week:

1. Power lines falling + transformers blowing + lightning = One heck of a fireworks show
2. No Power = No Heat = It is freezing = 40 degrees in my house
3. Falling branches are very loud.
4. Ice + Trees - Branches = No more tree
5. Trees falling over power lines can cause lots of damage.
6. I don't have the most intelligent neighbor. 30 foot tree + small backyard + house on one side + power lines on the other = Big mistake.
7. PSO can tell you that you will have power on Saturday but on Monday you still might be in the dark.

No Power = 7 days and counting....

Ahh!!!

So I don't normally get scared during storms but when I am home alone in a new house with winds that sound like they were going to knock down the trees in my front yard, I got a little scared. The thought going through my head? So when the sirens go off I guess I can just curl up in the fetal position in my hallway. I kept thinking about this because my house has no rooms that don't have windows or outside walls. As I watched the weather I was ecstatic to see that the storms was hitting me straight on. The winds died down but got a call from my sister that she had lost power at her house. Learned later on that people at Oktoberfest (about 2 miles from me) were injured from storm and storm chasers spotted rotation coming down from the sky right over my neighborhood. I am just glad I didn't know at the time. So I am proud to say I got through the storm, high winds, possible tornadoes, and all. My trees are still standing with a large amount of debris on my lawn. .

Pictures of house coming soon. Waiting to finish up a few more projects including a new roof!

Top 10 Things I have learned about my house.

10. My front lawn needs more grass.
9. Overgrown shrubs can hide a lot ....one end of a clothes line and a 55 gallon drum
8. The lady who flipped the house didn't know one thing about electrical work.
7. My backyard is really 20% grass/weeds, 20% shrubs/trees, and 60% alpine strawberries
6. Who paints windows shut?
5. My neighbor is a party guy. I was invited to his Halloween party as his roommate and I am guess the guys girlfriend took out tons of beer out of the car. He told me to tell them if they were too loud. His name is Chris.
4. I am too short to reach the top of all my shelves
3. My first pets....mice in the 55 gallon drum
2. My house used to be mint green with a pink bathroom and yellow closet doors
1. I love my house! I just need to put more things on my walls. I just hate putting holes in my nice walls.

90s Pop

I was browsing iTunes to try and come up with more songs I was missing and it made me laugh when I ran across ones like

Baby, Baby - Amy Grant
Un-Break My Heart
Waterfalls
How Can We Be Lovers - Michael Bolton
I swear - All 4 One
I'm Too Sexy
Come To My Window
Boyz II Men

There are so many more. I am glad I wasn't a Backstreet Boy, N Sync, Spice Girl, Britney Spears listening type of girl.

My 90s List

An updated list from earlier. I think I might have a few of these but I can't remember. It would have also helped if my sister didn't "loose" her cds from then. Creep - Stone Temple Pilots
Losing My Religion - REM
